Yellow dress

I think I have How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days to blame for my yellow dress obsession but I have always wanted to have a pastel yellow dress moment. It’s either that, Beauty and the Beast or Alicia Vikander’s red carpet moment at the 2016 Oscars. Whatever it is, I had this vision. The yellow dress I’m wearing is obviously more casual than the looks mentioned above, it’s a great, easy to wear piece. It’s less red carpet and more boho Belle. For some reason my invitation to the Oscars keeps getting lost in the mail.

Finding the right shade of yellow is tough because if it’s a little off the look just doesn’t work, everyone can see you coming a mile away and it’s not in a good way. I love this shade because it’s pastel but still bright. Always look for a toned down yellow. Trust me, you’ll still get the point across especially if the dress is to the floor… that’s a lot of yellow.

You’ve probably caught on by now but I love a slit moment! Showing a little leg really elongates the body and breaks up the yellow.  I feel like the slits on both sides dresses this down more than just one slit.  I’m not going to lie… this yellow dress is really fun to walk in especially if the winds picks up a little bit. Ugh it’s perfect. The ties in the front are super cute too. There are so many details in this yellow dress that makes it unique.
