Today we’re going to talk about a few styles that are here to stay, spring sets and distressed denim. I’ve teamed up with StackedOn as a May Stylist to curate my own “stack” featuring my favorite looks that you can shop here.
This spring set gives just enough “sass” without showing too much. The slit is the perfect addition to the skirt and helps avoid the penguin waddle (you ladies know what I’m talking about) making it much easier to move around in. I love the combination of the high neck in the halter with the slit. As most of you know by now, I’m a sucker for an open back so this set as all the right elements of showing just enough skin but not too much. Sets are so big right now and they are great because you can wear the pieces separately as well.
For my second look, I paired the halter top from the set with a pair of white, distressed jeans. These jeans are so comfortable! I felt like I was wearing sweatpants. My rule with crop tops usually is “if the belly button shows, it’s gotta go” but I’ll tell you why I’m making an exception with this look. The high neck of the halter provides more coverage so it balances out the exposed stomach. Another reason is because these white pants have more of a cigarette fit and aren’t as skin tight as other skinnies are.
