The debut of Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent Spring 2013 RTW collection is basically the brand’s premier to the fashion industry. The direction the collection took is a foreshadowing to the direction that the Saint Lauren brand is going to take. While the line has received a plethora of mixed reviews it seems to be popular with buyers (Source: Hollywoodreporter). The collection is trendy but wearable which is why it makes perfect sense that buyers are crazy about it.
The Saint Laurent collection has a very bohemian but edgy vibe. I could definitely feel the laid back California vibe through the use of fringe, leather and floor length maxis. It reminded me a lot of Rachel Zoe’s line even down to accessories such as the infamous tassel necklace that I just love. The collection has so many great pieces to mix and match into your wardrobe. All of the blazers are absolutely fabulous. The details in this collection contribute to making it so strong.
