One of my favorite looks for spring is styling heels and shorts. I really wanted to title “how to wear heels with shorts and not look slutty” but I figured that would result in some iffy SEO results so it’s now just “how to wear heels with shorts.” That’s the gist of this post though. The first piece of pulling this off is choosing the right shoes for your outfit I always think it’s smart to go with a more neutral pair of heels in this instance because it elongates your leg and works well with the purple suede shorts. Whatever height you want is fine (within reason). My preference on a lower heel comes into play with denim cut offs but that’s a different post.
These shorts have a more structured look since they are suede and the material is thicker. The shorts look a little more put together which is why you have more flexibility on the heel. The crochet top helped make the overall look a little more effortless and less formal. I hope that helps explain how to wear heels with shorts.
Exciting news!
Did yall notice the jewelry? I’ve been so excited about this collab! I’ve launched a collection with Motif. I don’t know if you know this but I grew up in Charlotte and now live in LA. So the collection is a combination of these cities and through my personal style which I describes as a mix of classic glamour with a touch of boho chic. These elements have also translated to the pieces in this collection. The dainty gold pieces are classic and can be worn on a daily basis but also can be styled together for a different look.
Check out my collection here! What piece is your favorite from the collection?
