This was my second time going to Cabo and I had such amazing trip other than the fact I was on crutches. I feel like I had a better handle on where to go/ what to do this time around so I wanted to share my guide to Cabo with all of you as well.
First things first though this suit is from Fox Swim and it’s such a great one piece. The sunglasses are from Quay and you can shop those here too. Both items are also less than $100 🙂 Ok now time for the guide to Cabo.
Where to stay: The Cape A Thompson Hotel
Ambiance: My favorite part about this hotel is how open and airy it is. The entire lobby area is completely open with a beautiful ocean view. The decor is super modern and sleek and the overall ambiance was great. The room had a swing on the balcony which was one of my other favorite parts of the hotel.
Pool Situation: The Cape has 2 pools, one is an infinity pool and the other is a salt water pool. The pool staff was very accommodating and there were even little lizards running around which I was a huge fan of. The infinity pool also has a swim up bar so who can not like that?!
Food: Who doesn’t love snack time?! The hotel would bring around little snacks everyday like the watermelon I’m eating in the white bathing suit and a little taste of ice cream. Total bonus points for the snacks. The food was amazing. I’ll talk about Manta below but the food at the pool was great too. I’m usually not a fan of pool food but The Cape has it down.
Drinks: I’m a huge fan of the Skinny Marg and The Cape makes an amazing one! I got it blended and this was basically my go-to drink. Their other drinks were great too and tasted really fresh/not sugary. As far as after dinner drinks go, The Cape does have a rooftop bar with a DJ. I wasn’t up there for long since I was hobbling around on crutches but it looked really cool! It’s a great alternative to still going out and doing something if Squid Roe isn’t your deal. It’s basically my hell TBH.
Where to have dinner: Manta Restaurant best fish in town
Manta is located at The Cape and is a perfect setup for sunset on the patio. The food is amazing! I would highly recommend the whole fish. It was one of the best fish I’ve ever had.
Where to have dinner: Sunset Monalisa amazing views
The Sunset Monalisa is right next to The Cape so it’s a great spot if you’re staying at the hotel. It is a beautiful restaurant right on the cove that has an amazing view of the ocean. The restaurant itself is beautiful too with the illusion of a few tables floating in the water and the overall layout of the space.
Where to have dinner: El Farallon all around favorite
This restaurant was unreal! It was probably my favorite. I had no idea what to expect when I booked it but it’s awesome. It’s located at The Resort at Pedregal so the restaurant is basically caved into the side of the rocks and is right on the water. The waves are unreal but you’re definitely going to feel a little mist. The hotel was nice enough to take us by golf cart because I was on crutches which was such a huge help since it is more into the hotel and on the side. When you arrive, you sit in this really cute lounge area with a “champagne bar” for a drink until your table is ready. When your table is ready, they actually take you to a case of fresh seafood and that’s basically your menu! So you pick out what fish you would like and move on to your sides then you are seated at the table. The rest of the courses are set by the restaurant and are all amazing. It was such a wonderful dining experience. I would highly recommend coming here!
Overall Cabo Tip:
Always drink bottled water!!!! You might think yeah no kidding… thanks for the tip but I got SO sick after my first trip to Cabo. We were told that we were drinking filtered water but I don’t think that was the case. Don’t take the risk and just make sure you’re always having bottled water. It’s worth the extra cost.
