Nothing says California quite like a pair of colored skinnies, wedges and a denim top straight off of Melrose. I absolutely adore these mint green Rag and Bone skinnies. I am so specific about the fit of my skinnies and these are great. I also love how unique the color is. The denim shirt is a perfect transitional piece. I especially love the one below because the cross adds an edgy flare to the standard denim shirt.
( Skinnies: Rag + Bone , Wedges:Steve Madden, Hair Ties: Planet Blue, Denim shirt: Somewhere on Melrose)
As much as denim shirts are such great transitional pieces they must be done right or you can easily end up looking like a painter. Steer clear of denim shirts that are so boxy and rigid structure. The whole point of the denim shirt is to convey how easy it is to look so effortlessly chic. The wash of the denim shirt is extremely important. I love how this wash has a bleached, faded out look. It makes the denim shirt more fashionable. But if you do just have a standard denim dark wash painter-esque shirt please accessories it with a big, bold necklace.
Stay Fabulous,
xoxo
