I absolutely love dressing for Coachella so I wanted to share a few Coachella outfits from this year. I think it’s so fun to embrace and vibe and just got with it. One of my favorite thing about Coachella is getting to wear things that I normally wouldn’t wear. Overall I tried to take things a little slower and focus on creating content and only a couple of events. One of the events that I couldn’t wait to go to was Neon Carnival.
NEON CARNIVAL:
Neon Carnival is a carnival themed nighttime event that has music and dancing and is honestly so fun! We got there a little early this year and I was so glad we did because we were able to do bumper cars and play the carnival games. Last year I was freezing at Neon so I wasn’t going to make that mistake again this year. Neon is kind of tricky to dress for because a lot of people come straight from the festival and are wearing what they wore during the day when it was 90 degrees. I wanted to of course wear something that looked great but wasn’t willing to freeze over it.
These fire shorts from Dolls Kill were perfect. They are petite approved and fit so well. The fit made them super cute and the flames were fun for Coachella. I wore them with a sleeveless white mock turtleneck, a white denim LPA jacket AND a neon jacket over it because I wasn’t taking any chances. I also love the look of shorts with an oversized puffer. There aren’t many places you can pull that off (especially when the shorts have flames on them and the puffer is neon) so this was the perfect opportunity. The neon puffer was really fun and on theme with the Neon Carnival feel. I did a post on how to wear neon so check it out here if you want the full scoop.
I finished the look off with these white cowboy boots that I lived in all weekend. They are really affordable so I didn’t have to worry about getting them dirty. Ironically enough they don’t look bad at all after wearing them in the sand and dirt for the entire weekend. Also my southern belle self still loves a shorts with cowboy boots moment so these boots were the perfect finishing touch.
