From bold pink to snakeskin, the Spring/Summer 2013 Gucci collection focuses on minimalism but with an attention to detail. The entire line consists of beautifully draped fabric and free flowing silhouettes. Bold colors are definitely a must have for Spring 2013. In this case, bold does not mean neon. Think statement pink, a bright turquoise or the ever so popular canary yellow. The Spring 2013 line would not have been complete without the handful of signature white pieces which seems to be a universal staple trend in so many Spring 2013 collections.
I love the use of the color combination in the shoes with the solid colors. I can definitely see the dress on the left on Selena Gomez at the Teen Choice Awards.
The plunging necklines have been all over the runway. I really love the trend if it is done right, which of course in this case it is. The use of the plunging neckline is balanced out by the free flowing maxi and loose fitting pants.
White on white has been such a popular trend for Spring 2013. The chic and clean look of the white pieces above accentuate the draping of the fabric and design elements of the piece. It looks like statement necklaces are back again to add a pop of color to the “less is more” looks. Note the gladiator ankle sandals. Trend spotting? I think so. Photo Source
